Solo Run

In the Solo Run you get just ONE Pokémon. This means that the Pokémon you start with will be your one and only during the whole game.

 

Rules:

1. You have to beat the game with the first Pokémon you pick.
2. Gifted Pokémon need to be stored in your PC right away.
3. You are allowed to have one extra Pokémon on your team for HM usage, this Pokémon is not allowed on your team when not necessary or while taking on Gyms.
4. When you faint 3 times you have to start over.
5. You can’t have a Pokémon learn Fly.

 

[no.149] Dragonite is the only Pokémon who can learn 5/5 HM’s in XY and 7/7 HM’s in ORAS. Another Pokémon who can learn a lot of HM’s is [no.400] Bibarel who can learn 4/5 HM’s in XY and 6/7 HM’s in ORAS.

You can also decide to Solo Run the game with a random Pokémon instead of your starter. You can switch Pokémon for the first time at Santalune City in XY. Once you do this same rules apply. It’s recommended to level this Pokémon up to lv.10 before swapping. If you want to challenge yourself even more you can use this generator to pick a Pokémon for your adventure.
